Welcome to our collection of artificial Sansevieria plants. A tropical thing of beauty with a wide ranging history of uses in the plant world. Also known as a snake plant for its natural variegated coloration on its leaves, its uses as a house plant are world renown.
Named by a Swedish inventor on a trip to Africa it is also commonly referred to as Dracaena and snake tongue as well. You can find this plant in dry desert climates and hot steamy tropical climates. It’s diversity and adaptation to its natural habitat makes it unique in the plant world. Because it is fast growing, it also has many uses even in modern times. In Africa, the leaves are used to extract fiber and they make rope and bandages. In western cultures species are used as ornamental tropical house plants. They are wonderful air cleaners and are thought to create a calm and peace in children. So they have been adopted by practitioners in the art of Feng shui to create a calming environment.
That’s why we’ve worked diligently to capture the elegance and unique look of this plant in our collection. The tropical variations of Sansevieria are what we focused on. Our designs use tall slender leaves variegated with dark and light green or light green and yellow combinations. The stalks are crafted using real touch plastic that won’t droop or fall over as they age. We love this design for those tight spaces that require a vertical house plant that doesn’t splay open. With heights ranging from 3 feet to 6 feet tall, I hope we have a style that can match your project requirements.
The most important thing you should consider when creating your display is the surrounding space. Are you outfitting a walkway that is narrow? Consider using a rectangular planter and dress it up with 3 indoor silk Sanserveria plants in a row. That same implementation can be used at a welcome desk or next to a doorway to create a privacy screen or break up a room. Or, are you designing for an entry way to a restaurant? In this instance, consider using a round or square planter flanking the door with identical plants to create symmetry.
Having a difficult time bringing your project to life? Take a picture of your space and email it to our design team. We are happy to help you figure out how an artificial Sanseveria can fit into your overall look.
