Welcome to our artificial pothos collection, one of the most versatile house plants in use today. It is a species that is native to French Polynesia, but has made its way around the globe to many tropical and sub-tropical regions of the world. One of the little known facts about this hearty plant is that it is almost impossible to kill, not unlike the kudzu in the southern region of the United States. And it has aptly been named devil’s ivy or devil’s vine because of its ability to destroy non-native forests by blanketing the floor and climbing unsuspecting trees. In temperate climates and in temperature controlled office complexes the plant thrives and grows vivaciously. That being said, it is poisonous to our pets and for this reason we’ve decided to capture its beauty in our replicas.
Silk pothos designs have been crafted with several uses in mind. The most common use is as a hanging plant design. We often use it on local projects as a filler around a larger plant or tree. For example, we might install an 8 foot areca palm tree in a large commercial planter. We’ll use pothos around the bottom of the trunk and drape it over the sides of the planter as filler. Another use for the tropical plant is for tabletop installations. We sell bushes that don’t drape that can be used on cabinets, bookshelves and in narrow planters that need a burst of greenery, but can’t hang because of drawers, pictures or some other impediment.
In most of our designs, we’ve done the work for you to dress up your greenery. We offer a myriad of size and pre-planted options so you can make your purchase, open the box and set it up in seconds. We also carry loose leaf plants for designers and DIY enthusiasts that allow you to come up with your own creations. You also have color choice options with our artificial pothos. We’ve captured spotted, variegated and simple green designs for just about every project need.
One of my favorite features of our indoor hanging greenery is the new technology being used to craft the leaves. The tops are silky smooth to the touch and have a natural rubber feel. This will make you do a double take when you walk by one of our installations. The realism is so good that when I come across a beautiful atrium in a hotel or business, I have to check to see if they’ve use fake or live plants. If you are having trouble envisioning your design idea, or need help with sizing and placement, snap a photo and send it to us. We would love to help you complete your project and be amazed with the results.
