Welcome to our abundant indoor fake mango tree collection. Did you know that these trees date back 5,000 years to the eastern shores of India and are considered a sacred fruit still today? Traders on the Silk Road carried seeds to South East Asia and Eastern Africa in the tenth century and spread the fruit around everywhere. Humans are responsible for the proliferation of the tree around the world. Mangos were introduced to California in 1880 and the U.S. market was born. My wife’s family is from Hawaii and on their family farm they have thriving varietals still today. There is nothing like biting into a delicious tropical fruit while sitting on the back porch looking out over the Pacific. I personally like to add a touch of lime to mine to add a little acid.
Our collection of artificial indoor mango trees builds on these experiences. We have a combination of synthetic and custom built options that we make here in the U.S. We use gorgeous natural trunks to make this sub-tropical tree come to life. All of our options have multiple trunks to mimic nature closely. I also love the shape of the leaves on these tropicals. They are long and narrow and drape like the mane of a lion. When thinking about sizing, start by measuring both the depth and width of your space and consider the size of the furniture. If your purchase is going in the middle of a room next to a couch, consider purchasing something around 4 feet tall. But if you are installing next to a couch in a corner, consider purchasing something in the 6 to 7 foot range. I also like to consider the furniture in the space. The bigger the furniture the more majestic I want the plant to be.
All of these beauties will be delivered in non-decorative planters. Since you are recreating an island vibe think about dressing it up with a seagrass basket or a white resin pot. And why not dress up the top of the planter with some of those sea shells you collected last year at the beach. And as always if you have any questions about your purchase please give your knowledgeable staff a call and we will walk you through your options. Aloha and Thank you!
