The Basics

Pre-Lit Lights

Traditional incandescent light strands. If one of your bulbs burns out, shatters or comes loose the entire strand will go out*.

All-Lit Lights

Traditional incandescent light strands. If one of your bulbs burns out, shatters or comes loose the entire strand will stay lit**.

LED Lights

Newer light strand technology. LED lights use less electricity and the bulbs have a half-life between 5,000-25,000 hours. The bulbs in an LED strand will burn a little brighter. If one of your bulbs burns out, shatters or comes loose the entire strand will stay lit**.

*We recommend using a light tester to find burned out or loose bulbs in pre-lit light strands.

**When setting up your tree every year we recommend doing a quick scan of your All-Lit and LED light strands to replace any burned out or missing bulbs. Leaving burned out bulbs in your light strands will reduce the half-life of the remaining bulbs in your light strand.
