Valentine’s Day is just two days away and in preparation for this loving holiday, I went ahead and put together this adorable Valentine’s Day floral arrangement.
This floral arrangement was incredibly easy and cheap to put together. It was all inspired by an adorable heart-shaped chalkboard that I purchased from the dollar section of my local Target store. I wrote the words “be mine” on the chalkboard, tied it around the narrow neck of my grandmother’s old milk glass vase, and it was ready to fill with beautiful flowers. For just $7 at my local grocery store, I purchased this stunning bouquet of bright red tulips, the perfect accent for my black, white, and red color scheme.
I then placed it on top of an antique secretary desk along with a pair of steampunk candlesticks that I use as bookends to hold two of my favorite hardbacks. I topped these cast iron candlesticks with a glittered red pillar candle that are in keeping with my color scheme. A picture that is always hanging over my desk completes the vignette and adds height while taking up some wall space.
This whole project took me less than 10 minutes to complete and is a great way to decorate a small part of my home for Valentine’s Day.
