We have talked about coordinating glass ball ornaments and ornaments that are collected over time but today I wanted to talk about another option, regional christmas ornaments. Whether you live at the ocean, in the mountains, on a farm, or in the desert, there is a clear personality to your region. Why not celebrate all the things that made you choose your home city or town with decorations that are indicative of that region?
This tree is a prime example of how an area’s personality and influences can be expressed in Christmas ornaments. This homeowner lives in the dessert of Phoenix Arizona. This area features beautiful rocky landscapes, mountains in the skyline, plenty of cacti, and a history rich in Native American heritage. All of these wonderful aspects of the region have been represented in the selection of ornaments for their Christmas tree.
The addition of a red and green bow adds a classic touch for the holidays while still giving a nod to the rustic and casual nature of the area. This homeowner brings even more of the holidays into their tree decoration by accenting their regional ornaments with the occasional artificial poinsettia flower or red cardinal clip.
You don’t have to live in the desert to achieve the same look for your tree. If you live in a coastal cottage, use seashells, little buoys, or life preservers as ornaments. Those mountain lovers, why not decorate your tree with woodland animal ornaments
