All week we have been on vacation in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, my home town. I cannot tell you how many years it has been since I have visited in the spring. I am here for Christmas every year but never in April or May. When I drove into town I saw how many leaf barren trees there still were, lined up along with bushes that have leaf burn from late season snow. If you live in one of these northern states that has been hit with an unseasonably cold and long winter, I feel for you. And I offer up a suggestion, kill the chill of this winter-like spring weather with the help of a beautiful chimenea.
These beautiful cast iron pieces really are a piece of deck furniture all their own. Sure, you can light a fire in them, surround them with some chairs, and enjoy the glow and warmth the fire puts out, but you can also really appreciate the artistry that has gone into designing these pieces. Each cast iron chimenea we carry has intricate design details that make it a stunner even when it isn’t lighted.
Chimeneas are a great addition to any outdoor living space. They can be tucked in a corner or an outdoor dining room to extend the hours that you can dine al fresco or featured as a central focal point of an intimate conversation area. No matter how you use them, you are sure to love them.
If you are stir crazy from all the hours that you have spent indoors this winter, a chimenea is just what you need to get outdoors again. Of course, if the more elaborate cast iron ones aren’t for you, there are many other fire pits and outdoor fireplaces that offer all the same benefits and which are equally beautiful in very different ways.
