First impressions set the tone for your holiday festivities. Make them count by having foyer or entryway decorations that your guests will always be talking about. These elegant showstoppers are super easy to achieve.
Christmas is in the Air
Glass vases filled with the scented pine cones that you find at the grocery store during the holidays aren’t just beautiful; they also set the stage for all your holiday decorations because they greet your guests with that familiar Christmas smell. Other nose-friendly options include scented holiday candles and plug-in air fresheners in seasonal scents.
Table Tree
Do you have a large foyer or vestibule with a round table? This is the perfect place to make a big statement for the holidays. First, find a short tree that is nearly as wide as your table. Artificial Christmas trees are preferable because you won’t have to worry about watering them and leaving unsightly marks on your table. Plus, if you get an artificial tree you can use it year after year.
This tree will measure anywhere from 2 feet to 5 feet depending on how wide your table is and how tall your ceilings are. Decorate the tree with smaller decorations that are proportional to the size of the tree and scatter some pinecones around the base of the tree to cover the stand.
Door Decorations
Everyone remembers to decorate the outside of the front door but many forget about the inside of the door. Wreaths are a tried and true way to dress up your door but there are plenty of trendier door décor ideas. Try surrounding your doorframe with draped garland. At the center top of the garland add a beautiful full bow. Jazz up old pine wreaths easily by adding a ribbon bow or painted letter to your wreath.
Floral Arrangements
Large vases on the floor or smaller vases on a sofa table are perfect opportunities to change out your floral arrangements for seasonal ones. Whether you prefer fresh flowers or silk floral arrangements, consider the colors. You want to choose flowers that coordinate with the rest of your holiday decorations. Adding glittered branches to your arrangements will add a dressy touch.
