DIY: Dressing Up Any Fall Wreath

Every month we have a YouTube video showing you how to make a wreath from scratch but there are also a great number of gorgeous pre-made wreaths available to you. One of my personal favorites is our birch bark wreath. The curly pieces of birch add so much texture while the natural coloring is neutral enough to go with any decor. I have this wreath hanging above our sofa all year long.

Birch Bark Fall Wreath

Instead of making a DIY fall wreath from scratch, just dress up an existing wreath with artificial fall foliage. Although this wreath is beautiful enough to stand alone, come fall I love to spruce it up a little bit. With the wreath still hanging on the wall, I simply slid in individual artificial autumn leaves, working my way up around 40% of the wreath. A burlap wrapped pumpkin on a stem at the bottom of the wreath finishes off the look perfectly.

Dressing up this wreath took me no more than 5 minutes but has a huge impact on the look of my living room. It just goes to show you that you do not have to choose between making a wreath from scratch or using a pre-made one as-is. Dressing up an existing wreath is also a great way to put your own personal stamp on it.
