Creating A Rose Floral Arrangement For Valentine’s Day

Do you love the look of a beautiful floral arrangement on Valentine’s Day but hate how
quickly those expensive roses start to wilt? Creating a rose floral arrangement for
Valentine’s Day using artificial stems solves that problem while offering stunning
results. Today, we are going to show you how to make a Valentine’s Day arrangement
using a combination of white and red artificial roses. If you would like to watch the
complete process from start to finish, check out our YouTube tutorial at the end of
today’s blog.

Supplies You’ll Need:

  • Vase of Your Choice
  • 1-2 Dozen Red Roses (Depending Upon Vase Size)
  • 1/2 Dozen White Roses
  • Wire Snips

Step 1: Cut the Rose Stems

Most artificial roses come combined on one stem. If this is the case for the roses you chose, take a few minutes to cut each stem from the bunch. Make sure to leave the stem as long as possible when doing this. Wire snips cut through the wire core of these artificial flowers easily.

Step 2: Insert White Roses Into Vase

The white roses are the show-stoppers of your floral arrangement. Insert them into the vase of your choice, roughly placing them where they will be at the end. It is easy to move them as you are working so you don’t have to be too precise to start.

Step 3: Add Red Roses to the Arrangement

With your white roses in place, it is time to insert the red roses. One stem at a time, work the smaller red roses into your arrangement. Spin the arrangement as you work, making sure to keep things even as you work. When you are down to your last few roses, take a moment to look closely at what you have, identifying places you may need to fill out a bit more.

Step 4: Give It A Final Spruce

Once all your roses are in place, spin the arrangement, making sure that the flowers are nicely domed. If any need pulled out or pushed in, do so at this point. Once you are happy with your arrangement, place it in the center of your dining table, as a focal point on an entry table, or on a nightstand for a romantic touch. No matter where you choose to display it, you are sure to enjoy this arrangement for a long time to come. When Valentine’s holiday passes, simply pack up the stems in a plastic storage box and hold onto them to use again the following year.

This same strategy for building an artificial rose arrangement can be used at other times of the year as well. An arrangement made entirely of white roses is a very classy all-year addition to any room in your home or office. Pink makes a lovely choice for spring. Change out the types of flowers you use for a fresh look. Want to see this whole tutorial step-by-step along with a quick, one-step bonus arrangement?
