We do it every year. As soon as the holidays are over we systematically start taking down all our Christmas decorations and packing them away for an 11-month stay in our attic. This year, before you head up that rickety attic ladder, take these ideas into consideration. Many of our Christmas lights can be used all year long to add both lighting and ambiance to both the inside and outside of your home. Here are our five favorite ideas and the products you need to make them happen.
Vineyard Inspired Grape Cluster Strands
Imagine these five beautiful grape clusters hanging from the top of a pergola or wrapped around a support beam. These clusters are available in red, purple, and green and are lighted from within with mini lights. They would look great in any vineyard-inspired indoor or outdoor space. Just add a wine bar, some barrel tables, and other sophisticated yet rustic furniture pieces.
Starlight Spheres in Various Colors
Starlight spheres can be a beautiful addition to a wide variety of spaces. Imagine these clear lit spheres lined up down the center of an outdoor dining table. Use green for St. Patrick’s Day, the purple ones for a princess party, orange for halloween, red, white and blue for all our patriotic holidays, such as Memorial Day, Labor Day, and 4th of July.
Wide Angle LED Lights Reinvented
These are not your standard Christmas lights. These wide angle LED lights come in a wide range of colors and can be chosen to coordinate with the color scheme in your room. They would be a beautiful decoration for a children’s room or dorm room. Use them inside a playhouse, line them up underneath a loft bunk bed, and throw away your old standard night lights.
Rope Lights
Rope lights are an absolute staple in outdoor and indoor decorating because they have so many different uses. Attach them to the underneath of your railings to define space and add illumination to a deck or patio. They are also a beautiful addition to the top of a row of upper cabinets. These lights are available in a wide range of colors, giving you the freedom to change up the look for different seasons and different holidays.
Battery Operated LED Lights
Light up topiaries, wreaths, artificial trees, and more without worrying about finding an outlet. These little starlight strands of LEDs is operated by a battery pack that is easy to conceal behind a wreath or inside a pot. This gives you the freedom to use lights virtually anywhere.
