Bell Halloween Ornaments on a Black Tree

When you think of ornaments, you probably think of the traditional glass balls. If you are dying to break away from the norm and try something different, why not make your own ornaments out of everyday decor items. When it came to decorating my black Halloween tree with orange lights, I did just that.

Bells as Halloween Ornaments

Halloween ornaments can be hard to come by but fall decor items are plentiful this time of year. I found a bag of autumn colored metal bells at my local craft store an strung them from a length of fabric covered wire. In less than 10 minutes I had a fully decorated tree that is a great addition to my October decor.

I used bells but you could use a wide variety of items. Pinecones, plastic spiders and bats, autumn flowers, and small artificial gourds would all look great on an artificial tree. Just hang them from a length of wire or twine and they will be quickly transformed into a custom ornament.

I did these for my fall tre but you could just as easily make custom orders like these for your Christmas tree.
