Are you looking for something a little bit different to add to your artificial arrangement? Water lilies are incredibly beautiful with wide open blooms in both cream and a bright orchid pink. These tall, big blooms make such a big statement that a few of them goes a long way. Here are three ways to decorate with artificial water lilies at home.
Tall and Skinny
Place an odd number of water lilies in a tall and skinny vase that features a nice, narrow opening at the top. The long stems can be trimmed down to different heights for a slightly staggered look. Your vase can be either clear or opaque, depending upon your personal preferences.
Low and Full
If you are looking for a smaller statement, get a beautiful low glass vessel and arrange a handful of orchids in it. You will have to trim a considerable amount of the stem off for this method but the results will be stunning. Add a touch of greenery or introduce another type of lily, such as a calla or an Easter lily to the arrangement for even more interest. Place your finished arrangement on a bookshelf, bathroom counter, desk, or nightstand.
Spring-Time Wreath
Greet everyone to your home in style when you place a couple of water lilies on your favorite basic wreath. This is the perfect addition to a twig wreath because you can tuck the trimmed stem right into the wreath. Hide the stems a bit with a big wire-edged ribbon bow and you are ready to go.
