Things that Look Better in Groupings

While many items look wonderful by themselves, others look better in larger groupings. Item groupings can be used on coffee tables, bookshelves, mantles, and architectural ledges throughout the home. Use any of these items to create interesting groupings to decorate your home or office. The hardest thing will be deciding which one is your favorite.

Trio of Orchids

Small Plants

Small plants may not look like much when they are by themselves, but when they are used in triplicate they start to make a design statement. Things always look better in odd-numbered groupings than they do in even-numbered groupings.

Faux Pears Succulents

Artificial Fruit

Fake fruit comes in a number of varieties and is a great way to add a pop of color to an otherwise dark area. Furniture with an espresso or black finish can look cavernous. Something bright, such as an urn of limes, can brighten things up. This is also a great piece of decor to use in a dining room or kitchen.

Succulents

Succulents are small on size but big on style. The add a pop of greenery and an architectural detail to any forgotten nook. Use them to fill a decorative bowl, turn a basket over on its side and let them spill out onto a shelf, or tuck them in among books or magazines.

Boxwood Ball

Boxwood Balls

Boxwood balls come in a wide range of sizes and can be used on decks, patios, and sunrooms to create added visual interest. One boxwood is fine but a trio of them hanging at varying heights is a show stopper. The largest of the trio should be the lowest with the two smaller ones flanking it, as two shorter heights.
